Hello everybody! My name is Karina Saucedo and welcome to “Bajo el Mismo Lente” which translates to “Under the Same Lens”. I am currently a student at Texas State University studying for a BF in Electronic Media and Media Studies. I was born in Austin, Texas, to a Mexican mother and father. I grew up in a small town called Elgin, Texas, just 20 minutes east. Elgin High is were I graduated in 2012. After that I attended The University of Texas San Antonio for two years till I transferred.

Things I adore include my dog Pettie (pictured below), family and friends. Other than those essentials, I love photography. Remember when you were on MySpace (circa 2006) and would deck out your profile? Yeah, i was really, REALLY, into doing that. I would always go through those weird “Blingee” websites to find cool pictures. The more I browsed through the internet, the more I realized, I could take those very same pictures, or even better ones.

This part lead me to fall in love with camera work and the internet, two things I still constantly keep in touch with today. Heck, it’s a big part of what I study!
